Now that the Elections are over and we can start to move beyond that I simply hope that the promises that were made are not all broken and left on the side line as nothing more than campaign hype. I have faith in the ideas and ideals of the President Elect that were presented to us during the campaign and don’t want to see those ideals or ideas sent to the scrap yard simply for the fact that they have served the purpose of getting him and the party back into the White House. The first 100 will show some of the direction in which the 44th President of the United States will be pointing the country, but I am more interested currently in watching the direction he is going to take over the next week with his appointments and choices for his Cabinet.
At the end of the day we did our part, now it is up to him.
And so the countdown starts today.
There are but 76 days until the 44th President of the United States will take office on January 20th at 12:00 Noon. This will undoubtedly be a chaotic time for the President Elect. It will show much of how the Office of President will be handled through out the overall term of four years. That’s 1,461 days for you sharp observers. Keep that number in mind. It will come into play later on.
I will be chronicling this time and following as much of the day to day activity as possible for both the President Elect and Vice President Elect as well as highlighting the choices and selections that will be made in the 76 days following this historic election.
So let’s start our epic journey to the inauguration of our 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Obama. Wednesday November 5th 2008, T minus 76 and counting.
